Page #34

Chestnut Street in Philadelphia. I picked up the book An Illustrated Life by Danny Gregory and felt compelled to sketch some buildings.

one of my favorites yet. isn't it funny how a city, like a person, can grow on you and worn its way into your heart?

What kind of pens/pencils do you use? Also...if you found a journal in which the ink doesn't bleed through to the back of the pages...tell me! :D Pretty please!

Well I am not where I should be but there you go! Philadelphia would be nice! Love your art, btw. Great idea for your blog too. Makes me think of my post today.

I use Staedtler pencils to start, then I move to Microns, all different tip sizes, and then the colored markers are Faber-Castell Pitt artist pens. Oh, and a Prismacolor white pencil. I picked up this journal at Barnes and Noble actually. It was pretty cheap, and I like the brown pages. :) It's a "Cachet by Daler Rowney". No bleeding, even with the markers!

And thank you, everybody. :)

I found your blog on stumbleupon and can I say I absolutely love it! I'm thinking of moving back to Philadelphia once I'm done school and this drawing has made me think it IS the right choice. Thanks!
