Melissa, I love to see your drawings of Philly. Having grown up knowing no area outside of South Philly other than Center City, it is so wonderful to (1) hear someone talk so lovingly about the place that is my hometown and (2)see your artistic interpretation of it. Outsiders, including Philly suburbanites, have always had less than nice things to say to me about the place that I can *affectionately* call Filthadelphia and it warms my heart that you love it so much. Thank you.
I loved this Blog, I'm a great fan of art in many shapes and forms, as I am a pretty good artist myself, sadly I do not devote as much time to it as I should, I won't bore you with the excuses, so, very well done!
After returning from the 2009 HOW Design Conference in Austin, TX, I realized that I needed more creativity in my life. So I vowed to create 160 art journal pages by the end of 2009. This blog documents my commitment.
EDIT: This did not happen. I gave up after 43 pages. But I'm on a quest to continue!
