I just kind of taught myself, for the most part. I studied graphic design in college, so I had to take a few drawing classes there. My college figure drawing class was super helpful. But I can tell that the more I practice, the more I improve. Hopefully I'll stick with it for a while!
Rob is trying to cut out carbs, so for our anniversary, I gave him a card that had toast in the shape of a heart. Inside I wrote, "I love you more than carbs!" He said, "Who's Carlos?"
After returning from the 2009 HOW Design Conference in Austin, TX, I realized that I needed more creativity in my life. So I vowed to create 160 art journal pages by the end of 2009. This blog documents my commitment.
EDIT: This did not happen. I gave up after 43 pages. But I'm on a quest to continue!
